Basmati Rice
Rice is naturally delicious with complex carbohydrates and low glycaemic index. There are approximately over 1400 varieties of rice across the globe. The best of them all is the basmati rice, historically originated and produced in some parts of Pakistan. The finest growers of Basmati Rice have their fields located in the foothills of the Himalayas, in Punjab. The unique soil, climatic conditions, and the nutritional water source from the melting snows of Himalayan Tops, truly enhance the exquisite flavor, unique aroma, and delicacy of the texture of the Basmati Rice. Despite all the new technology and research no other area of the world has been able to grow the basmati rice, with its original characteristics same to one grown in Punjab. The main characteristics of basmati rice are that they have long grain, are Non-Glutinous, Slender, Very Aromatic and excellent in taste and cooking. It has been cultivated for many centuries in hot and humid climate of Punjab along the Rivers named Ravi, Jhelum, and Chenab in Pakistan.
